NERDCULTURE SMACKDOWN! POKÉMON OF THE WEEK! JULY 20- JULY 26/13!

#493 ARCEUS
Today, we're talking about the Alpha and the Omega, the big A, the Holy Pokéfather, the Ubermon of the Ubertier, and the creator of the Pokémon world, Arceus. I've discussed his work before in the BOOK OF POKÉMON and today we're gonna talk about some of the nifty elements of this legendary's design.

LAST WEEK'S POKÉMON OF THE WEEK: #69 BELLSPROUT, #70 WEEPINBELL, #71 VICTREEBEL

Arceus is a Normal type Pokémon but, by holding one of the elemental plates, can become any type of Pokémon. With a great move pool and great stats, Arceus can be specialized in a lot of different ways, and is a truly devastating Pokémon. I think that Arceus has one of the best flavors of form change thanks to its abilities that allow it to exhibit its role as the progenitor of the Pokémon world able to use the powers of any element when the plates, which were once part of it, are returned to its mantle. The only way Arceus would be cooler, with its slick 4th Generation design (I'm biased toward 4th gen), would be if you could possibly upgrade it with all the plates into an ultimate form for some in game story reason. What do you think?

He also has some tendencies similar to a certain Trollestia.
