Twitch Plays Pokemon is still an interesting moment in the history of Pokemon, videogames, and the internet. Animating the madness, created by fan observations and mixed with a good deal of sympathy for the clearly disturbed Red, Twitchemon is exactly the sort of series that we needed to chronicle the phenomenon.

I just love how concerned everyone is for Red.

And, speaking of concern, there is the Pokemon 'Bridged series: the biggest Abridged series that you've never heard of. With over 20 episodes and a lot of great voice acting, this series uses madcap humor that goes from random to ongoing jokes to occasionally pointing out just how weird the Pokemon universe can be. Good.

Speaking of Pokemon, I tried to start to Pokemon Let's Plays that fell to the wayside for a number of reasons. That doesn't mean I've given up on my Let's Plays and I will probably give them another shot this year. Until then, unbox-king videos will keep getting made and ignored.

WORD OF THE DAY! 5/7/15!

brusuque [bruhsk]
1. Abrupt in manner; blunt; rough.

EX. A rather brusque video, done in a brusque voice, for a rather brusque figure.

MINI-REVIEW:  While a fantastic display piece for any Batman animated series fan, the figure has stiff joints that limit movement, several difficult to use accessory and pieces, and over-all falls just short of greatness. 3/5.

Weird Al is a treasure. His latest Grammy award winning (who cares, it's awesome regardless of recognition), Mandatory Fun, was a hilarious and refreshing bit of old school satire in a pop music scene that is a-changing.

To quote the Simpsons, "he who tires of Weird Al, tires of life".

Speaking of parody and comedy albums, the video game themed albums of Starbomb are a real delight and all of the fan music videos? They add so much to my enjoyment of the stories and scenes spun by Danny, Arin, and Brian.

I wonder what the next Starbomb album will be about?

I find these amusing but...

...I've never smoked weed. In fact, I believe I've never even seen marijuana, in any form, in person. I don't exactly avoid people who smoke as a rule. It is hard to do so. I'm a young man in his 20's and, despite the fact I don't really use any substances besides caffeine (via soda and chocolate), I don't particularly have a problem with responsible (and legal) use of marijuana...

... I like the funny edits.
