overreact [oh-ver-ree-akt]
verb
1. To react or respond to something in a manner that is either unnecessary, inappropriate, and/or over the top.
EX. The only time I've seen anybody overreact more this week than Crobatman were the millions of gamers piling on the "Xbox One? More Like X-BONE!" bandwagon (including myself). I'll reserve my judgement for E3. By then, I hope to have a much better understanding of both the XBOX-1 and the PS-4.
