1. The state or quality of being useful; usefulness.
2. Something useful; a useful thing, a tool, etc.
3. A service or system provided by the local infrastructure for public use.
4. A useful feature or factor.
5. Economics. The capacity of a service or commodity to satisfy a person's wants/needs.
6. Anything that contributes to the well-being of the community; the greater good.

7. Used to describe animals kept for a purpose rather than kept as pets.
8. Having or made for a number of useful purposes, rather than a single, specific one.
9. Useful as opposed to simply enjoyable or attractive.

EX. I keep wishing Batman would use his utility belt more in Arkham City. I have literally been playing the game for like twenty hours and it blows my mind (and this is a small complaint since the game is truly amazing) is that I can't do simple things like use smoke bombs whenever I please, knock someone out with a batarang, or crouch while using certain tools.
