1. A latex or foam padded mock weapon used for simulated handheld combat, especially in simulated battles or LARPing (Live Action Role-Playing).
EX. The only boffer weapon I've ever used was a foam sword (my friend owns a couple) and there is certainly something fun about knocking around a few rounds of simulated combat with your simularly dorky friends. Here are some useful LARP tips (though I've never really had the opportunity or desire to do it myself).
