WORD OF THE DAY! 1/4/12

role-play
[rohl-pley]

verb (used with object)
1. to assume the attitudes, actions, personality, and discourse of another person or character, especially in a make-believe situation in an effort to understand a different view point or social intereaction.
2. to experiment or experience a situation or viewpoint by assuming a role.
verb (used without object)
3. to engage in role-playing.

EX. So what if Mario likes to role-play as a tanuki. If it gives him the power to fly and kill crap with his tail, more power to the insane, mustachioed plumber. (Furry or not, flying is flying) Luigi, on the other hand, has some serious self-confidence issues to be role-playing as his brother. Yet, the princesses shouldn't be so judgmental and perhaps should take a moment to role-play as the brothers to get a better understanding of the insane amounts of stress they have to deal with every time their beloved princesses are kidnapped.
