EX. The bulwark of botlane and defender of the innocent has arrived on Summoner's Rift with the Braum, the Heart of the Freljord, being released to the public servers!

Braum hails from the frosty Freljord, where he is truly a Legend worth of the League, and is known by the smallest poro to the biggest yeti for his heroic deeds. Braum was raised on a small farm by his mother, where he learned to care for all living things and built his body to be more powerful than an avalanche, and, rather than using his power for selfish pursuits, the brawny man completely dedicated his life to helping others. He went from local hero to local legend when he found his legendary "shield". A troll boy had become trapped behind a massive door, seeking treasure within, and no one could get him out. Then, Braum appeared. He struck his fists upon the door, but it did not bend or break. So, in typical Braum fashion, he punched through the other side of the mountain to save the troll boy, just in the nick of time, and take the door as his "shield". Since then, Braum has realized his heroism is needed beyond his homeland and seeks to test his mettle in the League of Legends.

What tools does he used to protect his comrades?

Braum's Passive is Concussive Blows. Upon hitting an enemy champion with an auto attack or his Q, every autoattack against that champion applies an additional stack of Concussive Blows, including autoattacks from ally champions. After three more stacks, the enemy champion is stunned. This gives Braum a great incentive to lay autoattacks on as many enemy champions as possible to set up some fight turning crowd control. His Q, Winter's Bite, is a ranged skillshot that slows the first enemy hit and adds a stack of Concussive Blows. This is a great ability for chasing down or fleeing from a foe in lane or abroad. His W, Stand Behind Me, allows Braum to leap between his nearest ally and opponent, and grants a small defensive buff. His W is a great ability for setting up his E or getting around the map as it even allows him to leap small barriers. His E, Unbreakable, his signature defensive move, allowing him to create a temporary shield in one direction that, much like Yasuo's windwall, blocks certain sorts of ranged attacks, immediately negating the first hit and reducing each subsequent hit, and ultimately allows Braum to become a walking wall against projectiles to protect his allied champions. Lastly, his ult is a ranged skillshot that knocks up all enemies directly around him and in front of him in a straight line and applies an area slow effect. This is a great ability for disengaging your enemies.

All in all, it is clear that Braum's move set is made for protecting carries and that's an idea we should all get behind. See you in bot lane!
