MUSICAL MONDAY PRESENTS
To give "Remember December" a good star, I want to start by linking the two latest pieces from melodysheep -- one that should make you want to stand up and one that makes you want to snuggle up with a good book. The first remix is of the famous speech made by Charlie Chaplin in his role in The Great Dictator (1940). A clip of the speech, called the "Greatest Speech Ever Made" and "The People of Earth" has received massive attention over the last few years due to the political strife in the world, especially in North Africa & The Middle East, and is an optimistic and humanistic argument for humanity to unite and to oppose oppression everywhere.
"Do not despair
The hate of men will pass
And dictators die
And the power they took from the people
Will return to the people
Let us all unite!"

And I'm following up with another PBS sponsored video by melodysheep about the classic children's show, Reading Rainbow, which starred LeVar Burton. As a proponent of reading and educational programing, I really appreciate the spirit of a show like this and how that future generations will still be able to enjoy reading a non-digital book (although progress will probably override that sentimental thought).
