1. To run very fast, usually to get away from something or get to something before a deadline.
EX. "Holy librarian, Batman! We gotta book it to the Gotham City Library before the Bookworm eats through all of the encyclopedias, periodicals, and the microfiche!" Robin quibbled.
"Sounds like he needs a micro-fist to the jaw!" Batman guffawed.
