WTF WED! DUB OF THE NORTH STAR!

WTF WEDNESDAY PRESENTS

This week I'm sharing a great abridged series with you guys from the fellas at Weekly Tube Show based on the classic and essential anime series, Fist of the North Star. The original anime and its dub were an over the top, uber-violent, and post-apocalyptic mix of all the things that are good and bad about dubbed anime series from the early years of the American anime fandom. This abridged series takes all of the wackiest elements of the anime and pushes them into overdrive.

MUSICAL MONDAY! LIVETUNE: TRANSFER AMV!

MUSICAL MONDAY PRESENTS

Sometimes I like to give you guy's something a little out there and the amazingly intricate and gorgeous animated music video of the Japanese doujin music group is certainly not our usual fair. I've done some weird AMV stuff before (CLICK HERE), but let me explain a little bit about this video and/or this subgenre of Japanese music.

Doujin are a special fan genre or fan fiction in Japan that would be practically unachievable in the United States due to our far stricter copyright and property protection laws; Doujin is when an artist or artists take an official product's character and create a profitable fan-fiction out of it. A small warning before you go looking for Doujin of your favorite works, much like the American cartoonist's fan works, there is a lot of pornographic Doujin. So, just be weary.

As for the subgenre of doujin music, often made as compilations and remixes of popular music/themes of video games or anime, it is more of a style of production than subgenre. What caught my attention in this video is the amazing blending of style and pacing of animation that make it a simply beautiful, hypnotic, and stunning spectacle of Japanese animation.

Anywho, I hope you guys enjoy the music video and keep checking in for more interesting material from the best that the web has to offer. As always, I'm your humble internet guide. Thank you and please comment/subscribe.

TABLETOP TALES: "ANGELS, ELEPHANTS, & CENTAURS, OH MY!" DECK!

TABLETOP TALES PRESENTS:
"ANGELS, ELEPHANTS, & CENTAURS, OH MY!" DECK

To check out my other decks, hit the links below:

This article serves two purposes: To share the nerd entertainment around with anyone who might find it interesting and, in this case, to build a powerful deck on a reasonable budget.

A couple of weeks after the pre-release and my new deck for standard is coming on pretty strong. My only purchases for this deck have been made through trades, the cards from the pre-release event, and two boosters I bought the other day, as well as a couple singles, totalling my expenses at around $35-40.

Today's deck article though is a little special; most of my decks are budget style, made with what I can afford to build, and generally, up until this point, have not been very competitive. My friend Dayne was rather impressed with the deck's aggressive flow and asked to borrow it. Today's article is a breakdown of his version of the deck, changing about a dozen cards, and winning him first place at Friday night magic.

If you wanna check out the original version of the deck, click the link below.

You can find Magic Cards in super stores (Ex. Walmart, Target) but the best place you can buy your cards, meet other players, and play in events is at your local comic book store or hobby shop. I buy most of my cards at The Comic Cellar. Here is a link to its Google Maps location at 3620 Austin Peay Highway #2 Memphis, TN 38128.

Without further ado, with these purchases, I built...

THE GW AGGRO DECK:
"ANGELS, ELEPHANTS, & CENTAURS, OH MY!" DECK!

This deck mixes it up by completing some sets and throwing in three potent creatures that change the late mid-game to give it that extra edge. Restoration Angel & Thragtusk are a little over my budget, but my friend Dayne managed to snag some copies for Friday Night Magic, and took it to play (coming away with 1st place). These awesome creatures, combined with Rancor, making this deck an almost unstoppable machine of quick wins.

Please leave comments.

4. Slang. Ordinary, generic, boring.
