WTF WED! A WEAPON TO SURPASS METAL GRUMP!

I really like ProJared:

PROJARED: SUPER BONK!

So, seeing him as the first guest on Game Grumps, since Rareware's Greg Kirkhope on the first (and only) Guest Grumps, was pretty cool. I didn't expect to have live-action shenanigans like seeing behind-the-scenes of the boys trying to film at night or ignoring security or being bothered by fans to an almost threatening to degree.

And this... um, just, don't watch it at work. It is funny though.

WTF WED! THE NEXT NEXT GENERATION OF POKÉMON SNAP!

Let's start with the best bowl of tall grass that I could find in Kanto or, in this case, on the new youtube channel by Ross (of Steam Train (of Game Grumps)) Rubberninja.

The thing that gets me about a lot of these animations coming out on online these days is the level of quality; the animation, writing, and voice acting are so many magnitudes beyond what was possible just a few years ago online and it is all thanks to the collaboration of a network of flash animators and other web entertainers.

The future of animation is online.

Ricepirate joins in the fun with his own top tier Pokémon themed animation that is short, sweet, and right to the point. The point is flips and farts, apparently.

A little weirder, a little less quality, but a little more upcoming are the animations of artists like Cooli Sushi that are a little newer to the scene.

Let's end on an other especially high note with the longest short of the bunch by 2snacks. A Brazillian animator, 2snacks isn't very prolific but has produced some top tier toons and made a name for himself with his Two Best Sisters Play videos that combine audio from the Two Best Friends Play channel and My Little Pony characters to give us something, as I've said before, is perfect for TBFP fans and Bronies alike.

Seriously, it is a good time to be a fan of animation and of Pokémon.

WTF WED! DOCTOR WHOM: THE NEXT GENERATION OF GRUMPS WITH A VENGEANCE!

Despite claiming to be something of a pacifist and going extremely far not to kill his enemies, when he can help it, the Doctor winds up in a lot of circumstances where he is pointing a deadly weapon at his foes-- whether as an empty threat that he doesn't intend to carry out or that they're too far-gone/dangerous that execution would be a mercy.

After all, to the people of the Gamma Forests, his name means "Mighty Warrior".

Did you guys ever realize that Home Alone is basically a more kid-friendly version of Die Hard? Both involve the right person being in the right place at the right time when bad guys invade a building/house and dealing with it through a series of traps, slapstick, and one-liners?

So, what happens when you mix Home Alone with Die Hard? You get an adult Kevin McCallister fending off a pair of elderly criminals, out for revenge, with a mix of weapon's from boyhoods past and the resources of a grown-up.

Or he could've just pulled out a gun and shot them both? Or called the cops? I dunno. Merry Krugmuth.

In the year 20XX, I can only assume by the context and clues given in the trailer above from GregzillaGT, that Mike Aruba has taken over the world with an army of video game villains from the post-Jontron era of the Game Grumps series.

We can also assume that the only one capeable of saving the world is Malkovich.

MUSIC MON! POWER RADDISHES, AGGRO CRAGS, & THE GAME GRUMP ANTHEM!

VS.

First up, we have a GAME GRUMPS VS. or rather a GAME GRUMP REMIX VS.! With Ego and Dan really hitting their stride in recent episodes and finding a good bit of chemistry/insanity that I was worried would be lost without Jon, we get brilliant moments, musical and manic, like the proclamation of Power Radish. Which remix do you like best?

I've talked about the Aggro Crag and Guts before, but that doesn't mean I haven't missed out on sharing more awesome Game Grumps: Guts related nonsense with ya'll in the form of an awesome remix that captures the might and majesty of the Aggro Crag!

Atpunk01, liltommyj, and xXJerryTerryXx are back this week with another remix masterpiece in the form of this lovely collaboration that elevates the medium and lifts the Grump Nation up with a stirring anthem. Grump fans everywhere are divided in everything but our passionate enjoyment of the machinations and madness that is Game Grumps. As a proud co-owner of a pair of "I'm a Grump"/"I'm not so Grump!" T-Shirts, I'm glad to be part of the fandom.

WTF WED! R.I.P. GAME GRUMPS CO-STARRING JONTRON!?

As anyone who has even remotely followed my blog over the last year would know, I'm a big, big fan of Game Grumps, a Let's Play series starring Jon "Jontron" Jafari and Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson, because of the chemistry between the two internet stars. I was a big fan of Egorator since he made a big splash with the Awesome series of animated video game parodies and a big fan of Jontron since his review of the Star Fox Adventure Gamecube game. The result of combining these two unique flavors was a Let's Play series that I listened to, for the comedic commentary, every day while I do my dishes and eat my meals.

The drawback of the Game Grumps series was that the two entertainer's main channels, especially Jontron, were neglected. To be fair, if you could make a living off of playing video games with your best friends... wouldn't you do that? And yet, many fans and other entertainers seem to sour against the channel for stealing away these two wunderkids. Thus, according to the video above, Jontron is leaving Game Grumps, shortly after hitting a million subscribers, to create "a second season of Jontron" while Egoraptor stays on with a new co-star, Dan of Ninja Sex Party. You can watch Ego & Dan's first episode HERE.

We also got a new series, Steam Train, starring animator and Grumps friend Rubber Ross and Dan, that you can watch the first episode of HERE. My opinion on Dan's addition to Game Grumps is that the first two episodes have been okay, so far, and Steam Train, which is a neat idea since it focuses primarily on PC games, has unfortunately not really won me over yet. Now, as for my feelings on the change as a whole...

Don't get me wrong. I was excited to hear Jontron would be making more of the Jontron Show. I love the Jontron show. But.... Game Grumps without Jontron? To steal something I saw earlier, replacing Jontron with Dan would be like replacing Abbot from Abbot & Costello with a guy named Tony. Tony could be funny, but it wouldn't be the same. Furthermore, and this is the biggest reason I think the fans are turning against the Grumps so vehemently (besides a sense of entitlement) is the way that the Grumps went about Jontron leaving, the introduction of a new host, and a new show; they made these big announcements, several which they should've known the fans would resist, without any time for the audience to be ready for it. If Jontron had announced he would be leaving a few weeks ago, if they had Dan as a guest third host a few times first, and if they had already added Steam Train BEFORE taking away our Jontron then the fans might not have reacted so poorly. I'm pretty upset about the way it has been an announced. Furthermore, with evidence that the real reason Jontron is leaving is to move to New York to live with a girlfriend, this could've been handled in a much better way (the fans would understand if Jontron was leaving for personal reason too).

In the end, I hope that Dan can fill Jontron's shoes, Jontron posts a new episode of Jontron Show soon, and this new Steam Train show turns out to be something we didn't know we wanted. I hope, but for now...I'm grump...

P.S. Barry, the show's "third Grump" (think Fifth Beetle), would've been a better choice then some random guy the fans don't know/care about it.
