WEEKLY ROUND-UP! 12/31/12-1/4/13.

WEEKLY ROUND-UP PRESENTS
ASH KETCHUM SUCKS WEEK!

5. WORD OF THE DAY! 12/1/13. Posterior.

I've been spending a lot of time sitting on my keester over the last week (between being sick and playing lots of board games). Luckily, I don't have to worry about ghost butt because I regularly schedule visits from the Ghost Busters.

4. MUSICAL MON: END OF THE YEAR QUARTET!

I decided that since my Birthday and the last day of 2012 fell on a Monday last week that you guy's deserved a quadruple heaping of Music for Music Monday. I think my favorite of the four songs is prolly...um, well, as much as I love brentalfloss it wasn't Baby Mario & Yoshi. But it did have the best video!

3. WTF WED! DON CHEADLE CAPTAIN PLANET SAGA!

I'm so happy that I got to share the incredible Captain Planet Saga from Funny or Die. It took us back to looking at the very first WTF Wed (back when I numbered articles) and allowed us to take a look at the darker side of old "green-top".

2. WORD OF THE DAY! 1/1/13. Generation.

Who would think my Poke-Prediction about us hearing about the 6th Generation of Pokemon soon would come true in a week? Even more interest is that, in the comments for the Pokemon X & Y trailer, people were asking them to remove EV/IVs. I don't see how removing them would make things...better?

1. WORD OF THE DAY! 12/31/12. Bumble.

I was happy to share a glimpse of the Chronicles of Bumble Bootsbane (whom I plan to write a full novel about) on my bday. I've been doing a lot of table topping and xcited to be starting a couple of pathfinder games, hopefully getting into my friend's Dad's new campaign, and continuing my Call of Cthulhu game and my current Pathfinder game.

Thank you guys for a fantastic 2012 and here's to a better 2013.

WTF WED! DON CHEADLE'S CAPTAIN PLANET SAGA!

WTF WEDNESDAY PRESENTS
DON CHEADLE'S CAPTAIN PLANET!
I can't believe it has been 15 months since my first WTF WED article on Captain Planet. I think what inspired me at the time was seeing a twisted little video about Don Cheadle (Hotel Rowanda, Iron Man 2) donning the green mullet and sky blue skin of, one of the most underrated super heroes and a symbol of ecoheroism from our nostalgia, Captain Planet. Then about a month ago, I got the excuse to have an awesome follow up to the original article because, not only did they post a sequel, they posted three more parts with a conclusion in the third.

The weirdest part? The frickin' funny but terrifying performance of Don Cheadle as Captain Planet takes pollution, and the human population, down to zero. The videos get continually more twisted and bizarre; and that's the point. Captain Planet with a god complex is horrifying. He is basically as powerful as Superman with the ability to control earth, fire, wind, water, and heart (the latter being terribly underrated. He can communicate and influence/control animals!).

For a quick nerd nitpick, he shouldn't be that hard to defeat for three reasons: 1. His kryptonite is pollution. The villains could team up as heroes and defeat him with pollution. Just an idea. His villains do include an opposite version of himself and a radioactive version of the Thing from Fantastic Four. They might be able to take him if they work together.  2. He is powerless without the willing cooperation of the Planeteers. If they aren't wearing their rings, he can't do anything and will disappear. He needs them to have any power. 3. Gaia wouldn't let this happen.

Anywho, you can watch all of the epic four parter at the links above.

WORD OF THE DAY! 5/13/12.

run-down [ruhn-doun]
adjective
1. Fatigued; weary; exhausted.
2. In a state of poor health: He was in a run-down condition from months of overwork.
3. In neglected condition; fallen into disrepair: a run-down house.
4. (of a spring-operated device) Not running because it is unwound.

EX. Things haven't been quite the same for Captain Planet since he slipped on the pee-pee at the Costco. Sure, he got a cash settlement, but seeing him toddling around his rascal and letting his once glorious mullet and body become run-down and dumpy is just depressing.
