MUSIC MON! THE ORIGINAL WALRUSES OF HELL!!
It's that time again. It's time for me to dump all of the videos out of my Music Monday folder that didn't seem to fit along with anything else! Congratulations to these videos for surviving purge after purge but still making the cut. We salute you!
Speaking of those we salute, the first video is a fun but obvious parody combing Five Nights at Freddy's Foxy the Pirate with Lazy Town's Your are a Pirate! Rejoice and, while you're at it, enjoy the classic Lazy Town mash-up of Cooking by the Book and Lil' Jon.
The Walrus is so cute in this song! Why!? Why would you terrible things to the cute little walrus with the cute bow?! WHY!!?
And let's end with a featured Disney song parody from Saint's Row IV's Gat Out of Hell DLC! Is it the best Disney princess "I Want Song" I've ever heard? Prolly not but it is still nice to see this sort of fun in a video game release from 2014. And with that...
I must go.
My people need me!

WTF WED! IT'S MADE OUT OF F***ING POKÉMON & CHIN CHIN !?
"IT'S MADE OUT OF F***ING COOKIES!"
We're dispensing two different flavors of Pokémanz this week: a sweet abridged short based on the Pokémon Origins miniseries, from Octopimp, and Esquirebob's latest collaboration with Egoraptor that properly parodies the saccharine puppy/kitten documentaries they play on Animal Planet to pander to little girls, grandmas, and everyone else.
Also, I thought you could use a little bit of a stabalizer between OMG BISCOFF and the latest messed up night terror from the orifices of Filthy Frank.
This really speaks for itself. Filthy Frank feels like he is being unnecessarily harassed by a parody of the homophobic black guy stereotype, calls upon the powers of Chin Chin, his eldritch god & life partner, and summons forces beyond his and Paul Abdul's control. I apologize in advance, but I'm not sorry.

WTF WED! AN ELEPHANT WATCHES A PSA ABOUT RACISM & FRENCH-KISSING!
This week we've got a few things I've had cooking on the backburner; first up is the rather disturbing though often amusing madness of filmcow's animation. We've discussed it before, but it's always nice to take in a little slice of insanity. This week we're taking the big pill before we get to the little ones for your viewing dis/pleasure.
Then, we've got a more stable formula with a step down nostalgia avenue in the form of a parade of bad PSAs from 80's and 90's sitcoms. These were really popular in the after school special era of political correctness and morality that I grew up in-- sometimes the morals were well-handed and clever but, more often than not, they beat you over the head with a box of corniness.
Apparently, the Japanese view the average American as looking like my best friend Zach and speaking the language from that weird music video about what English sounds like to the rest of the world. American English does, actually, have a reputation for sounding pretty badass to many foreign ears(blame Hollywood) and dorky to others (dunno who to blame on that one?).
And, finally...

WTF WED! ELEPHANTS, MYSTERIES, GYPSIES, & GEORGE LUCAS!
WTF WEDNESDAY PRESENTS
The first two videos of this week are from the creative dungeons of Filmcow/secretagentbob, the same bastard who brought us Charlie the Unicorn & Charlie the Yannicorn, with the most thrilling mysteries starring a little pachyderm who deals a killing blow to crimes most macabre and controversial. WARNING: The second video includes the sort of shock humor that we used to expect on the internet. I'm still waiting on the guys from Southpark to hire this guy.
Then I wanna leave you guys with a couple of SMBC THEATER shorts I've enjoyed recently with company; first up, a classic parable that teaches the true cost of greed at the mangled hands of a gypsy and then, we've got a video about George Lucas, quite literally, using his power to destroy an individual's childhood, directly, piece by piece.

WTF WEDNESDAY! OF FRAGGLES, DEATH, PONIES, & WIZARDS!
I have a special place in my heart dedicated to the works of Jim Henson, except... that place isn't for the normally beloved Jim Henson projects that come to the mind of the majority-- I think of Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Muppet Babies, Dinosaurs and, of course, Fraggle Rock, before I ever think of Sesame Street or The Muppets-- because of the strange place at which I am positioned as a member of Gen Y. Some of the Henson projects I love are clearly inferior to others or had serious problems, and most I caught in reruns that were a time capsule of their era, but Fraggle Rock is a show that is timeless and special.
Fraggle Rock (1983-1987) was a live-action puppet show about the trials and tribulations of the cave-dwelling, fun-loving but still grim, song-singing Fraggles of Fraggle Rock that lived in a world that was constantly trying to capture, squish, or eat them. Unlike most shows of this basic sort of premise, the Fraggles main cast were developing characters that grew and changed over time and dealt with deeper issues ranging from personal crisis to questions about the the meaning of life. The show's production values and writing were fantastic for a children's show and I hope they try to reboot or continue this franchise soon.
私はマイ·リトル·ポニー:友情は魔法ですが大好き。しかし、私はしばらくショーを見ていない。
So, this, this right here, is pretty much the sort of Live Action TV Show I could get behind-- its got ridiculous melodrama, whimsy, action, fantasy and "nosebones". Regardless, there is nothing you can do to stop me from enjoying this Wizard of the West clip from the makers of Charlie the Unicorn, filmcow.

WTF WED! THE NOSTALGIA CRITC & THE ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD in THE MYSTERY OF THE YANNICORN!
WTF WEDNEDSAY PRESENTS
D-DESUKA!? This was a real weird one to find out about, but its sort of completely awesome to know that there are fans for our favorite internet reviewers over in Japan! I've talked about the Angry Video Game Nerd before (check out this classic article of AVGN VS. Arino the Kacho), but I don't think I've really pimped out Nostaglia Critic. The Critic is a character at the center of an entire network of video reviewers. The character Doug Walker plays is a personification of the cynical critic in all of us critical folk when it comes to entertainment-- going off into rants and moments of temporary insanity in reaction to horrors like...well...TWO ANIMATED TITANIC MOVIES?! (One HERE. And one HERE). His specialty is reviewing 80's and 90's tripe, but has known to do some retrospectives, top ten lists, and has started breaking into the 2000's for some fresh nostalgia & exceptions. Doug Walker actually retired the character last summer but, to quote him, "the review must go on!" He started reviewing again-- he may have changed some things but, if the Pearl Harbor review is any indication, the King is back baby.
This a new classic animation from secretagentbob, featuring, in their debut roles, the Yannicorn, Kenny G.sus, &, last but certainly not least, Munch the Hungry Star Cat Fish! The Star Cat Fish really steals the show with
"Little Kitty Baby eating marshmallow pie, oh man!
Sometimes I feel like my life is a marshmallow lie!
Bonus nerd points if you can name off the titles to these classic Hanna Barbera cartoons in the comments below.

MUSICAL MON! FERRETS PETTING BRONIES!
MUSICAL MONDAY PRESENTS
First up this week, we got a classic video from the maniac musician and mutilat-- I mean animator, secretagentbob/film cow of Charlie the Unicorn fame/infamy. Humor is, first and foremost, the art of the unexpected and uncomfortable. This is the reason why physical humor (tripping) works, the reason that after thousands of years people still chuckle at potty humor (farting), and this is the reason that every punchline in the history of comedy works (timing). Its all about setting up expectations in your audience and then surprising them in some way-- it helps that this jaunty tune sounds like it could be a real song on a kid's show or film or in the early 20th century or in American Psycho.
Next up, we got a videogamedunkey affair with his hit single and perhaps deep analysis/criticism of modernity with the addictively duncetastic PET ME HORSE! Personally, it reminds me of the little internal rhythm we all develop from playing a video game or that it is about touchscreen gaming's gameplay coming down to petting the screen or its just a very silly video from a very silly person with a good sense of humor. Shrug. It's stuff like this that makes me have to decide whether stuff belongs in WTF WEDs or Musical Mons.
Last but not least, I bet you would've found it hard to imagine John Delancie (of Star Trek fame as the super being Q) would be involved with a documentary on the biggest and most proposterous nerd/internet subculture in years, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's brony community. Even more so, this video is delightful and I think most people, unless they just hate bronies, might find it entertaining and perhaps a little educational about this slightly awkward (but enjoyable) subculture (that I am a part of). If you like it and want to know more, this video is just a portion of a full-length documentary hosted and narrated by John Delancie who became interested in the show after playing a villain in the second season only to discover that he had a whole new community of fans.

WTF WED! TRUNKS & CHARLIE THE UNICORN GO TO TOKYO JONGLE!
WTF WEDNESDAY PRESENTS
First up in our triple feature of awfulness and amusement is a short about one of my least favorite DBZ characters-- don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Trunks, I just dislike a lot about him. My biggest pet peeve about the character is his stupid sword. It it never really explained what makes the sword so special in a world of super powered aliens. Also, his creator forgot half Saiyans were supposed to have tails. *rubs temple* I don't even. Also, he was one of the protagonist of DBGT. I have nerd rage that fermented for years over this guy...
Charlie the Unicorn is a great example of a premise that I don't think can be so easily exhausted by its progress. Heck, with only four adventures of our three unicorns, it can hardly be said they've been over exploited. If you like non-sequitor humor, check out the rest of Secret Agent Bob's work ASAP.
The more Tokyo Jungle I see, the more I wish I had Gamefly to rent it! Built on the strange concept of a roleplaying strategy game where you play as packs of wild animals in a post apocalyptic (?) Tokyo and fight for territory and resources with the other animals. In this video, videogamedunkey, won me over and I had to subscribe!
