heist [hahyst]
noun
1. A robbery or holdup, especially a well-planned out affair.
EX. I know that I'm not alone in loving Team Rocket. They're the Bulk & Skull of the Pokémon anime. They're bumbling antagonists that you can root for, even though you know they're doomed to fail. I'd love to play a modded heist in Payday 2 as Team Rocket, with characters like Jessie, James, Meowth, Butch, Cassidy, Wobbuffet as part of the mission, to rob the new Pokémon bank.

WORD OF THE DAY! 9/20/13!
terrible lizard [ter-ih-buhl-liz-erd]
noun
1. The literal translation of the Greek words, "deinos" & "sauros" combined to create the term "dinosaur.
EX. The second stages of the fossil Pokémon, Tyrunt and Amaura (described in my latest X & Y update), are terrible lizards but definitely aren't terrible. In fact, Tyrantrum (pictured at the top) and Aurorus (pictured below Tyrantrum), are pretty cool. Tyrantrum is Rock/Dragon and confirmed to know Crunch & Dragon Trail with the ability Strong Jaw. Aurorus is Rock/Ice with the ability Refrigerate and knows the moves Freeze Dry (an Ice Move super effective against Water types).

WTF WEDNESDAY PRESENTS FEDORAS, FILM NOIR, & STARFOX 64!
I can almost always finding a running theme in WTF Wed articles and none are thinner than consonance & alliteration. Nevertheless, I'm still quite pleased with the harvest of hilarious & hair-brained amusements I've already per-perused for your viewing pleasure. First up, posted above, is a perfect parody of the unfortunately neck-bearded nerd who, while otherwise probably a fine fellow, makes the modern faux pas of wearing the rarely pulled-off properly fedora. As per usual with Redminus, this animated video is more than it seems...
The Out of This World series of Game Grumps stands as a testament to Danny & Arin's chemistry and, with the catchphrase too easy not to exploit, they decided to make a one-week only shirt themed around the in-joke from the series. The commercial for the joke doesn't take the route of their previous, though still often funny and demon-possessed, efforts and instead took a film noir approach that has everything; Egoraptor in a dress, Barry as a mustachioed cop, and Danny bothering one of Arin & Suzy's cats.
Lastly, I hope ya'll enjoy this fantastically animated little bit from the Starfox 64 playthru between Jon and Arin. Their chemistry shines in a scene where Arin's love-hate relationship with the fans shine like a dying supernova.

roulette [roo-let]
noun
1. A game of chance played at a table marked off with numbers from 1 to 36, one or two zeros, and several other sections affording the players a variety of betting opportunities, and having in the center a revolving, dishlike device into which a small ball is spun to come to rest finally in one of the 37 or 38 compartments, indicating the winning number and its characteristics, as odd or even, red or black, and between 1 and 18 or 19 and 36.
Russian roulette [ruh-shun-roo-let]
noun
1. A game of high risk in which each player in turn, using a revolver containing one bullet, spins the cylinder of the revolver, points the muzzle at the head, and pulls the trigger.
EX. Some say meeting new people on the internet, much less than trying to find dates, is a dangerous game of Russian roulette. Another game of chance can be found on the wholly enjoyable, Pokémon Showdown.

WEEKLY ROUND-UP! SEP. 9- SEP. 15 2013!
WEEKLY ROUND-UP PRESENTS
TOY CRITIC PUG & SYSTEM OF A DOG WEEK!
7. WORD OF THE DAY! 9/11/13! Cacophony.
So much Pokémon news this week that I just had to post something soul-crushing related the franchise. Now, if being reminded of your inability to catch 'em all wasn't bad enough...I give you the Gotta Catch 'Em All Pogo Remix & Contest! The first code is XY1012.
6. MUSIC MON! POWER RADDISHES, AGGRO CRAGS, & THE GAME GRUMP ANTHEM!
More Grumps is more good, if you ask me.
5. WTF WED! EMPEROR MARK HAMILL'S MINIONS GO TO PREDATOR COLLEGE!
I just finished up the original Batman the Animated Series. 'sgood!
4. WORD OF THE DAY! 9/12/13! Kanto starters.
So good, in fact, that I'm gonna keep talking about it. Stylish, mature, and the best sort of dark, BTAS is one of the best animated series of all time. Watch it HERE.
Now, on the subject of the Pokémon news; I just want them to spoil the final forms of the starters so I can pick my favorite. Which are you favoring?
2. WORD OF THE DAY! 9/13/13! OP.
I'm afraid NuFu's first foray into 5 V 5 Ranked didn't go as planned....
1. WORD OF THE DAY! 9/9/13! Headshot.
But we're learning more about every role, map awareness, and counters so that, in our next ranked climb, we can see about climbing out of Bronze.
WORD OF THE DAY! 9/17/13!
Ginger [jin-jer]
noun
1. A red-haired or red-headed individual.
EX. I've heard Gingers don't have souls. Then again, I'm not really sure the rest of us do either.

MUSIC MON! MIAMI CONNECT YOUR EAR TO KOREAN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS SCIENCE REMIXES!
Miami Connection is my new favorite b-movie cult classic. Miami, Flordia ca. 1987. A taekwondo themed rock band, Dragon Sound, has just scored an in-house gig at the hottest club in town and are drawing in the young and tasteless by the droves with the martial arts slapstick, ninja-themed lyrics, and the quaffed mullet to end all mullets. What could go wrong?
(OR read the description BELOW instead)
The only have three problems. A rival band wants revenge on Dragon Sound for stealing their gig, the band's keyboard player is having trouble reconnecting with a long-lost father, and, if that all wasn't bad enough, a crime ring of ninja bikers wants their bassist's head for dating the younger sister of their second-in-command. This movie is made of the 80's.
It's on Netflix. Go watch it. Now.
I like League of Legends. Here is a League of Legends remix of almost every champion's character select voice-over. I don't have a ton to say about the situation.
Next up, we've got a belated look at the buddha-bellied rap-off between these two big stars that took to the world stage in the last year, Kim Jong-Un and PSY. One is an evil dictator and the other is a beloved entertainer. We've talked a lot of about Kim Jong-Un on this blog through various articles and a little about PSY, but I think we all know enough about these two to enjoy this parody.
Lastly, we've got a haunting and lovely remix from melodysheep. The concept of black holes have always fascinated me; the power & the mystery are unlike any other space phenomena.
WORD OF THE DAY! 9/16/13!
textbook [tekst-book]
noun
1. A standard or assigned book used by students for study on a particular subject.
adjective
2. Typical; classic; seemingly typical of an example found in a textbook of a situation.
EX. If you didn't already know, J.K. Rowling admitted that she is working on a new film set in the Harry Potter Universe. The Harry Potter film franchise was an unstoppable juggernaut and it does make sense that Warner Bros. would want more material to merchandise. Furthermore, I can't blame Rowling for wanting to return to the world she created. It is a fantastic world that has inspired millions. Perhaps no fantasy franchise has taken such a hold of a popular culture since George Lucas's Star Wars (yes, technically it is fantasy). Yet, rather than getting a sequel, prequel, or a retread of similar tropes, this won't be the most obvious sort of follow-up to the chronicles of the Boy Who Lived.
The new film is based on J.K. Rowling's rather slim children's book for charity, Fantastic Beasts & Where to the Find Them, based on the textbook of the same name from the original Harry Potter series. There is some potential in a book that follows some fantastic adventure, presumably Newt Scamander, as he documents creatures in the wild. Or perhaps it is something completely different and completely awesome. We'll just have to see what Rowling's magic can produce.

WORD OF THE DAY! 9/15/13!
propane [proh-pehyn]
noun
1. A colorless, flammable gas, C 3 H 8 , of the alkane series, occurring in petroleum and natural gas: used chiefly as a fuel and in organic synthesis.
EX. “The only woman I’m pimping is sweet lady propane! And I’m tricking her out all over this town.”
I love King of the Hill. Some day I will be able to properly articulate my feelings about it, with enough time, but for now I will leave you with a small moment that illustrates the show's strengths:
When Khan Souphanousinphone, Hank's overly competitive neighbor, is stricken with so much shame at losing his job, as the result of trying to impress Hank with a military project his company has been working on, that he leaves his wife and daughter in the lurch it is Hank that steps up to help out his neighbors. Partly out of guilt and partly out of his generous nature, Hank takes up the patriarchal housework and chores that Khan would normally be required. The episode comes to a dramatic climax when Hank runs into Khan in a restaurant restroom and confronts him. Khan declares he cannot return home until he has a new job. A few days later he returns home, with a new minivan, and a job. Khan brags about the vehicle and Hank, reluctantly, admits that is pretty nice to help bolster Khan's confidence.
Hank Hill can be a very stern, no-nonsense character. At times, Hank is at odds with his neighbors and family because he is often the one who accurately judges the actions of others as being destructive. This can make him seem authoritarian or patronizing, at times, but, if your neighborhood ever needed a hero, Hank would be a pretty good choice.
